i always love the first snowfall, mostly, because i remember how excited i was at their age. madelyn and blaise ran in to tell me, "it's snowing, mom!!!" i remember being in LeCenter running in our backyard with all the stray cats and hoping it'd snow enough to build snow tunnels and forts and snow balls and snowmen. i loved it all. i had the best siblings to enjoy it all with. i still remember the blizzard of '92. i would've just turned 8. we were in the car trick or treating and getting out in snow drifts on what should've been the curb. ...... so i love the first snowfall, because i can remember how it felt to be so innocently happy about something. and now i hate it. i hate cold. i belong in hawaii. truly. i'll stop complaining.....i've got a good life...even if it's cold.
so we took family pictures and can't wait to see them!
we went to the library where they had a display of camels out. becket kept wandering over to them yelling "d,d,d!" he thinks they're deer. so sweet. i'm pretty sure that's his first word (but not the first time he's said it) ....besides the constant dadddddyyyy. dadddddyyyy. and the occasional, mommommom ;) he's getting bottom molars in. poor baby has icky diapers, runny nose, fussiness. hope they come through soon.
